Born in South Africa, Rodney graduated as an architect from the University of Natal and worked on many major projects throughout the country.
His interest in ceramics as a hobby became a fulltime occupation when the popularity of his work saw an increasing demand for his magnificent platters and vessels. His architectural background and his passion for South African culture is reflected in each individual piece.
Rodney creates deeply textured, sensual and motif-laden ceramic forms. Traditional tribal motifs and earthy colours are embedded in each exclusive piece.
Rodney’s works are represented in the private collections of:
Bill Clinton – Former President USA
Nelson Mandela – Former President of South Africa
Tina Turner – Singer and songwriter
Peter Gabriel – Musician
King Goodwill Zwelitini – King of the Zulu Nation
Sir Niall Fitzgerald – Global Chairman Unilever UK
