Walangkura was born at Tjiturulnga, west of Kintore. She is the daughter of Inyuwa Nampitjinpa and Tutuma Tjapangati and sister of Pirrmangka Napanangka. Her family moved to Haasts Bluff in 1956, along with a group of Pintupi people. The family returned to Kintore in 1981. Walangkura’s career commenced when she participated in the Kintore-Haasts Bluff canvas project ‘Minyma Tjukurrpa’, in 1995. She began painting for the Papunya Tula Artists in 1996. AWARDS
