The world can be a wild place. To make your mark, sometimes you need to unleash the beast within. Johnny Romeo explores this sentiment with incendiary flair in the painting Royal Buck. There is a fun, energetic vibe to ‘Growl’ that recalls the youthful rebellion of 80s and 90s skateboarding culture as it reappropriates the font of iconic Californian skate brand Santa Cruz. Romeo rounds off the painting on a cheeky, hedonistic note with the title Royal Buck, transforming his fiery feline into the ultimate hustler looking to chase the big bucks.
