Blurring the boundaries between time and space, history and sci-fi, the painting re-imagines Star Wars’ fearless Rebel Alliance leader Princess Leia as the infamous French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. Commanding and poised, Leia is an empress flexing her power as she channels Napoleon’s iconic, steely gaze and his regal, imposing authority, embodying both the spunky courage that made her such a fierce and beloved leader with the legendary statesmanship of Napoleon at his peak. Leia’s transformation, while initially unexpected, provides an empowering vision of an alternate reality where a woman can ascend to the levels of power and influence historically only afforded to men. Tongue firmly in cheek, the title Strike Force Fuel evokes a neon-drenched world where the space-age fuel of lightsabres and hyperdrive meets the horse-fuelled charge of cavalry, giving Romeo’s Napoleonic Leia the necessary power to strike.

Exhibition artwork will be shipped once the exhibition closes and for an Art of Dr. Seuss purchase, please allow 14 – 16 weeks for delivery from date of purchase.Â
The average time for dispatch for all other artworks is approximately 5 business days, depending on availability and payment arrangements.
